TIRANA, Nov 5 /ATA/ Milva Ekonomi, MP of the Socialist Party, said at the session dedicated to review of the draft budget 2021 that the draft budget has been consulted with international partners to ensure support for sustainable economic growth in the medium term.
“The draft budget 2021 is of critical importance to address the current situation. This draft budget is the result of two main moments: the positive and sustainable economic growth of the country, the deepening of fiscal consolidation for the years 2014-2019, and the economic situation in 2020 which due to natural shocks such as earthquakes and pandemics slipped to a recession,” Ekonomi said.
According to her, the draft budget 2021 sustains financial support for mitigating the crisis in the short run, provides funding for the long-term development of the country and ensures the sustainability of public finances.
It is based on the policies of the macroeconomic and fiscal framework of the country for three years and aims to reduce public debt, increase public investment and maintain price stability.
This draft budget comes after discussions with the IMF, which stressed that policy management has been adequate and incentives have been provided for business and citizens in addition to maintaining the macroeconomic stability of the country.
