“21st Century Schools” program, ambitious project that prepares young people for labor market

TIRANA, October 26/ATA/ Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Evis Kushi and the British Ambassador in Tirana Duncan Norman saw closely the projects of the students of the 9-year school “Qamil Guranjaku” in Elbasan, which aim to save energy in the school premises and make sensible every individual to find alternative ways to preserve it.

The projects are part of the 21st Century Schools program, which is implemented by the British Council and aims to develop critical thinking skills and practical programming skills.

Minister Kushi expressed her gratitude to the British Council for this ambitious project in our schools. I am convinced, she said, that our students, thanks to these new skills, will be more competitive tomorrow and will be better adapted to the labor market.

While Ambassador Norman stressed that, “We are working to create a more engaging educational environment for children, which develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills.”

“We are working together because these are the skills that children in the United Kingdom and in Albania should have,” he said./m.m//a.a/p.s./
