TIRANA, Oct. 16/ATA/- The head of the European Union Delegation, Luigi Soreca held on Friday a meeting today with the State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi and the Deputy Commissioner Lealba Pelinku.
“Congratulated today Ilirjan Celibashi for his appointment as the new State Election Commissioner. We discussed the important challenges the CEC faces to swiftly implement the 5th June electoral reform, as well as how EU can provide technical assistance in the run up to next April elections,” the EU Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca said.
EU Ambassador Soreca offered his support for identifying the best practices of the EU countries (Germany and the Netherlands) as a good opportunity to exchange ideas for the organization of the electoral process under the conditions of the pandemic. //a.i/
