TIRANA, October 9 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the Socialist Party is looking only toward the future. He said that we have done the right thing for the election process and we have done the right thing to have a more representative Parliament tomorrow.
Speaking at the SP Assembly, Rama said, “Imagine if we had the hospitals of 7 years ago. What would we do? How would we cope with the COVID emergency? What about if we had the finances of 7 years ago how would we cope with the earthquake? Who would gather, 7 years ago as we gathered at the beginning of the year in Brussels the Donors Conference to give Albania 1.2 billion? Who? I do not want to make inappropriate comparisons, a disaster was happening in another country and another donor conference was convened. What we achieved was not achieved. And of course it is definitely European solidarity. But, if someone says that no matter who was here in government it would happen, it is completely useless. Because it could not have happened. “It could not happen as it has happened in all the confrontation of these situations”, said Rama.
“Basha (DP Chairman) is a very good man, but is there an Albanian who, if he has a problem at night, calls him? I don’t believe. I believe that even his closest relatives don’t waste time on the phone because it is bedtime. While we stood by the people day and night,” Rama stressed./gj.mima/p.s./
