TIRANA, September 29/ATA/- At the today’s press conference the Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized that, small business will pay zero tax until the year of 2029.
“If it turns out that from 2014 to 2019, the rich people, including those who shamelessly call them oligarchs, who are not oligarchs because there is no rich man in this country to dictate a single government decision, did not pay more taxes than they did in the 8 years when they were in office, then they must make it public,” the premier said.
“While according to the data in 2014, we have halved the tax for small business and increased the tax for big business. Both, a bakery and the 15-storey, the small and big businesses used to pay 10% of the profit tax. Today, the big business pays 15% of the profit tax while income tax for small business reduced from 10% to 5% rate,” he said.
“The small businesses will be exempted from paying profit tax until 2029, there will be no tax reduction for big business, we do not offer tax cuts for large enterprises. We ask them to contribute more, because they earn more,” the premier Rama said. //a.i/
