TIRANA, September 25 /ATA/- The High Prosecutorial Council (KLP) in cooperation with the Center for the Study of Democracy and Governance organized on Thursday a seminar on “Strategic Approach to Communication with the Public”. The activity took place in the premises of the KLP with the participation of the head of this institution Gent Ibrahimi, members of the Council and the administration.
In this seminar, there was presented the Communication Strategy of the High Prosecutorial Council, a document designed specifically for the development and improvement of communication with the public, both institutional and inter-institutional.
In the framework of the implementation of the Council of Europe recommendations for communication with the media and the public for the courts and the prosecution authorities, the drafting of the communication strategy will aim at increasing the public’s trust in the justice system and its institutions. In order to guarantee a stable system, which will be developed in parallel with the institution, and a higher level of transparency and accountability in communication with the public, a pro-active approach to communication is needed, where the public is informed about the activity of the institution, but at the same time have the opportunity to actively communicate with the institution itself.
This strategy comes in support of the mission of the High Prosecutorial Council as one of the new bodies emerging from the reform of the justice system in Albania, which guarantees the independence, accountability, discipline, status and career of prosecutors. /j.p/p.s./
