TIRANA, Sept 20 /ATA/ – By Arbi Fortuzi/ There is a good news for local tourists and foreigners who will have the opportunity to make a virtual tour of the Divjaka-Karavasta National Park.
This weekend saw the launch of the application of the “Divjakë Karavasta” park, as well as the VR (Video Real) 360 degree tour to visit the park virtually in 360 degrees, getting acquainted with all the tourist attractions, fauna, flora and detailed information about them . The application also contains very valuable information about places where tourists can find traditional food, bars, as well as hotels to spend a night or several nights. Development of this application and VR tour is part of the program “Smart management of cultural product for the use of natural values, sustainability and territorial attraction.”
It is a project for the “Smart” use of the Divjaka Karavasta national park, with the support of EU funds. We have been working for a year on this application and it has paid off. The park has its own application as well as a website. Visitors can access timely information about the park through these apps. At first we thought that this year we would ensure a faster aggregation in terms of the number of visitors, but the pandemic was an impediment to this project. We think that next year, this application will impact on the number of tourists. This application and web site will be updated from time to time “, – said Ardian Koçi, director of the Divjaka-Karavasta National Park for the Albanian Telegraphic Agency.
This project is realized through the grant given by the Tourism Development and Promotion Project of the Regional Cooperation Council. The project is funded by the European Commission and implemented by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), as an effort to contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the six Western Balkan economies, by supporting the development and promotion of joint regional proposals in cultural and adventure tourism.
