TIRANA, September 19/ATA/- The Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a television interview from Bavaria where he is paying a working visit, stated that, the statements of President Ilir Meta on the changes to the Electoral Code, are related to the rotation of the moon.
According to the Prime Minister Rama, the President’s statements depend on the day and on the direction of the moon at the time he speaks.
The premier Rama emphasized that, the Parliament is legitimate and will continue to work on the implementation of changes to the electoral code, dictated by the constitutional changes voted at the end of July.
“I have not followed the president’s statements, they come as no surprise, in whatever form they are materialized, the president has a very personal relationship with the rotation of the moon, his statements depend on the day and on the direction of the moon at the time he speaks,” the premier Rama said.
“While, the Parliament continues to function, it is legitimate and will continue to perform task of reflecting significant changes to the Electoral Code voted at the end of July, paving the way for open lists and at the same time consolidating the electoral system with a necessary change in the formula of coalitions, from an absurd formula which was utterly unique into a formula used in all European countries which see coalition as an opportunity and form pre-electoral coalitions prior to election,” the Prime Minister Rama said. //a.i/
