TIRANA, Sept 18 /ATA/ The Arbri road is a complex engineering work, which will be a reality within summer 2021 after two decades of delays and promises.
Posting images of the works on this road, PM Edi Rama said that 60% of the project has been completed.
“Good morning and with the recent images of Arbri Road, where work is running at high rates with 60% of the project completed so far, I wish you a nice day,” Rama said.
The construction of Arbri Road at a length of about 74 km, will significantly shorten the existing road from Tirana to Dibar 180 km long and will have a major impact on development of surrounding areas. This road will be an important linking corridor East – West.
This road connects the eastern and north-eastern regions of Albania by improving the transport of residents living in the areas crossed by the road, as well as ensures transport of underground natural resources, such as chrome, from Bulqiza to the port of Durres to be exported.
Also, the axis will be the shortest road linking Tirana with Dibra as well as the north of Macedonia, Dibra e Madhe, Tetovo and Skopje, meaning that it will be an international access road.
