TIRANA, September 8/ATA/- In August 2020, consumer prices recorded a slight increase of 0.2% compared to July this year.
According to the report published today by the Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), the prices of the groups ” Furniture household goods and maintenance ” and “Transport” increased respectively by 0.5% , followed by the groups ” Food and non-alcoholic beverages ” by 0.4%, “Alcoholic beverages and tobacco ”,“Rent, water, fuel and energy ”and“ Recreation and culture ”respectively by 0.1% . On the other hand, the prices of the group “Clothing and footwear” decreased by 0.3%.
While, in August 2020 , the Consumer Price Index (CPI) grew by 1.3%.
Compared to August 2019, the largest increase in prices is observed in the group “Food and non-alcoholic beverages” by 3.1%, followed by the groups ” Furniture household goods and maintenance” by 1.9%. //a.i/
