TIRANA, August 12 /ATA/-Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj held a telephone conversation today with the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Zsuzsanna Hargitai, Regional Director for the Western Balkans and Matteo Colangeli, EBRD Representative for Albania, regarding the intensification of cooperation in priority sectors of the economy.
Denaj informed that, “We discussed on increasing the intensification of cooperation in common areas of interest, especially during the pandemic and in coordinating the commitment of the government and the EBRD for the development of priority sectors in the country.”
“I appreciated the continued support of the EBRD, calling it an important partner in the positive progress of reforms towards sustainable economic growth,” said the minister.
The EBRD has started financing it through loans in Albania since 1992.
The largest share of project financing is occupied by investments in the energy sector with 52.09%, followed by the transport sector with 40.86% and others with 7.05 %./m.m/p.s./
