TIRANA, Aug 3 /ATA/ With the pace of the municipality, it is just a matter of time before the pyramid building in the capital is revitalized.
The Municipality of Tirana has started the work for transformation of the existing building into a technology education hub for students aged 12-18, in order to enhance their creative and technical skills, through courses in design and technology, which are not part of education curricula.
Interested companies have until September 2 to submit their bids.
The funding for conversion of this building is divided between the budget of the municipality of Tirana, the fund out of state budget made available by the Ministry of Culture and the financing of the Albanian-American Development Fund made available through a cooperation agreement with the municipality on implementation of this project.
Revitalization of the Pyramid is one of the strategic projects of Tirana in the medium-term budget program 2018-2020, where, among other things, it required a clear vision on the current building.
Meanwhile, the project for its transformation into a Center for Education and Technology was rolled out in April 2019.
