Tepelena Bypass, panoramic road, opens for users

TIRANA, July 27/ATA/-Tepelena Bypass, another important national infrastructure work, part of the North-South axis, is open to citizens.

The investment, which gives a new impetus to the economic development, but also tourism of the whole region, connects the two road segments, the newly built Levan-Tepelena segment with the Tepelena-Gjirokastra-Kakavija segment.

The works have been numerous, not only in terms of layers and construction of this bypass, which, it should be noted that in its first kilometer there is console bridge, which is the first in Albania, which stands on the river Vjosa, built on concrete columns.

There have been very deep interventions here also in terms of the part of the castle escarpments, which are already covered with wire mesh and vegetation (Green Fix). On both sides of the road there is a sidewalk for the passage of citizens.

At the end of the works for the construction of this bypass, Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed the significance of this infrastructure project in terms of tourism development of Tepelena, Gjirokastra, but also of the entire southern area.

“Tepelena seafront completely connects Gjirokastra Region with Himara, so the tourist package becomes complete. “From a fake pocket, here it turns into a knot of development,” said PM Rama, while emphasizing that the residents of Tepelena “are lucky to turn that terrible situation they had into a situation of economic source”. /a.gjonaj/ /a.g//r.e/p.s./
