TIRANA, July 25 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/ – The Chairman of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group Taulant Balla said that a financial scandal involving Shkëlzen Berisha, son of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, has deepened further as a media investigation has found that the value of Berisha’s assets and his company financial statements is much lower than a bank loan he has received.
The financial scandal involving Shkëlzen Berisha deepens further and takes another course, as the protagonist has declared he has been granted a bank loan of 1.8 million euros to purchase some real estate properties near the village of Gërdec, listing precisely these properties as collateral, the value of which is much lower than the principal of the bank loan, ie lower than the total loan Shkelzen owes to the bank. The new documents provided by Report TV cast doubts about this affair. The company ‘Logal’ sh.pk owned by Shkëlzen Berisha is registered in 2015 and it officially operates in food and fruits processing sector.
On December 24, 2018, Shkëlzen Berisha as the sole partner signed an agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo Bank on a loan of 1.8 million euros to finance a sale-purchase contract closed on December 19, 2018, or six days earlier. But how did he settle the contract given that he had yet to receive the bank loan?
But this is not the only mystery. Under the same decision, Shkëlzen Berisha listed as collateral the same properties he has purchased through the bank loan of 1.8 million euros. The real property includes 3 plots of land with a total surface of 6,183 square meters and 3 other plots of land of 14,220 square meters of which 5,066.5 square meters of construction, all positioned in cadastral zone 2605 of the village Marqinet of Vora, adjacent to the area of Gerdec, where a factory for dismantling military ammunition exploded in 2008, the biggest political scandal involving Berisha family.
