TIRANA, July 16/ATA/- The municipality of Tirana held Thursday a public hearing with engineers and experts to assess buildings damage in Kombinat area, affected by the November 26, 2019 earthquake.
Out of eight buildings assessed by engineers, seven will be rebuilt from scratch, as the reconstruction cost exceeds 70 percent of the sum needed for rebuilding them from the scratch, while one building built in the 1990s will undergo reconstruction.
Based on the Normative Act “On coping with the Consequences of Natural Disaster”, there has been conducted technical opponency by the Institute of Construction, which after reviewing all documentation, concluded that: Building no. 149, 151, 155, 157, 160 165, 165/1, 165/2 and 165/3, 174 will be rebuilt from scratch.
The project on construction of the new buildings will be designed in accordance with Eurocode 8. //a.i/
