TIRANA, June 29 /ATA/ -By I. Vata/ – The Assembly of the Academy of Sciences at the Monday’s meeting carried out the procedures stipulated under the Academy’s Statute on the election of new “Academician” and “Associate Academic” members, as well as on the election of external members.
After the submission of candidacies by the President of the Academy, the Assembly elected the voting commission for the statutory administration of the electoral process, composed as following: academician Neki Frashëri (chairman), acad. Floran Vila (member), acad. Jorgaq Kaçani (member) and acad. emeritus Gjovalin Shkurtaj (member).
Referring to the result announced by the special commission after counting the votes, the Assembly decided that “the members of the Assembly with the previous associate academic title win the academic title: Arjan Durrësi; Ilirian Malollari ”.
Genc Sulçebe, Ilia Mikerezi, Pëllumb Xhufi were also elected as members of the Academy of Sciences.
Members of the Assembly are elected by winning the associate academic title: Adrian Civici, Artan Boriçi, Kristina Jorgaqi, Mimoza Hafizi and Rajmonda Bualoti.
Ardian Ndreca and Ardian Vehbiu were elected as external members of the Academy of Sciences.
