TIRANA, June 18/ATA/ The Council of Ministers decided at the next meeting to extend deadline for applications for property reevaluation until the end of this year.
“The deadline for applications for property reevaluation will be extended until the end of 2020, from September 30, 2020, when the law become part of the fiscal package,“ according to the government decision.
According to the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the decision to extend the deadline for applications for property reevaluation comes as a result of the COVID-19 situation, which has affected many work processes of the state administration, including the State Cadastral Agency which is responsible for receiving applications from citizens who seek revaluation of assets.
The law no. 90/2019 “On the revaluation of immovable property” aims to promote the formalization of the value of the real estate market because, even in previous years, the revaluation of immovable property has aroused considerable interest, leading to the revaluation of over 160 thousand properties. //a.i/
