TIRANA, June 16 /ATA/ – The Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu confirmed Tuesday that situation remains fully under control despite a surge in the new confirmed Covid-19 cases.
In a media interview, Health Minister Manastirliu noted that the current situation was predicted by the Committee of Experts, as well as experts in the leading international institutions, who had warned about an increase of the new infections after the reopening process.
“The exposure to the virus increases with the reopening of businesses, including health sector,” Manastirliu said.
Commenting on the claims that hospital centres have become a hotbed for the infection, Health Minister said “we cannot speak about hotbed of the infection, but timely investigations that have been conducted to prevent this infection chain, which could lead to the collapse of the hospitals and the situation would become very serious.”
