TIRANA, June 5 /ATA/-The construction costs rose in the first quarter of the current year, but this increase was influenced by transportation costs, while material costs were lower.
According to data provided by the Institute of Statistics, the construction cost index in the first quarter of 2020 increased by 0.5%, compared to the first quarter of 2019.
If compared with the same quarter of the previous year, the index of the group “transport costs” increased by 2.1% and the index of the group “other costs” increased by 1.6%.
While the groups “material expenditures” decreased by 0.6% and “wage expenditures” by 0.3%.
In the first quarter of 2020, the quarterly change in the construction cost index increased by 0.2%. If compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, “other costs” group increased by 2.9% and “transport costs” by 0.8%.
While the groups “salary expenses” decreased by 0.9%, “machinery expenses” by 0.8% and “material expenses” by 0.3%./a.gjonaj/j.p/r.e/p.s./
