TIRANA, June 4 /ATA/ “Albania, the land of hidden treasures.”

This is how the daily “turismo.albania” describes Albanian landscape, from breath-taking mountains to wonderful beaches.

This up and coming destination, which sits to the southeast of Europe, attracted in 2019 around 6 million 4 thousand foreign tourists, which is up 8% as compared to 2018.

According to Minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi, the companies operating in this sector have come to terms with the fact that history has changed forcing the tour operators to shift to IT tools.

“We are conducting a number of campaigns on social networks. All this is helping us change the image of Albania and the perception of tourists about our country. Many of them say this is a unique country which is worth visiting at least once in a lifetime,” Klosi said.

Through social networks, Albania showed that it is open to business. The tourists have understood that this unique country is worth visiting at least once in a lifetime.
