Tepelena bypass, 90% of project completed

TIRANA, June 3/ATA/ The prefect of Gjirokastra region, Astrit Aliaj inspected Wednesday the reconstruction works on Tepelena bypass one of the biggest and strategic investments the southern city has ever seen.

The engineer of the contracting company on the construction site, Ladi Lala said that “work on construction of the 2.4 km long axis is going ahead at a high pace, consisting of two 3.7 m wide lanes, while about 90% of the project has already been completed.

“Node 3 of this axis is due to be completed after recent expropriation procedures in the area along the axis are closed,” Lala said.

This is an investment of the government, in the follow-up to the country’s infrastructure development projects, which addresses once and for all the problems in this part of the road, a source of road accidents in the past.

The Tepelena Bypass connects two important segments, Levan-Tepelena and Tepelena-Kakavija, easing the circulation with impact on development of the area’s economy. //a.i/
