TIRANA, May 20 /ATA/ –The Democratic Party must be fully engaged in talks on electoral reform. ” This was the message that the vice-president of the European People’s Party group, Andrey Kovatchev, sent to the Democratic Party regarding the electoral reform.
Kovatchev has also expressed regret at “recent controversial actions and clashes with protesters in Albania” over the issue of the theater building.
He stressed that “all stakeholders involved must work to find a widely accepted solution.”
Kovatchev called for “respect for the rule of law and continuation of work on the 15 issues that need to be closely monitored by the European Commission and member states.”
