TIRANA, May 18/ATA/- The US Embassy in Tirana has appealed to its citizens to avoid the gathering points and locations where demonstrations are imminent or ongoing.
A protest is taking place near the Ministry of Interior in Tirana, on May 18, 2020, beginning around 16:30 p.m.
American citizens living in Albania should be careful and avoid going out to these areas:
Avoid potential protest sites, including the Boulevard “Martyrs of the Nation”
Avoid any public gathering of people.
Monitor local media to be aware of what is happening
Be aware of your circumstances
