TIRANA, May 13/ATA/- In the first three months of this year, banks have increased lending to small and medium enterprises.
In the first quarter of 2020, SME loans reached ALL 4 billion through credit expansion program for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which has offset the contraction of the credit portfolio in favor of the big business groups, according to the Bank of Albania, (BoA).
The reduction in loan portfolio for big business came due to decline in disbursements of new loans (by about 15%) and the use of its own funds for working capital during March, under the pandemic situation.//a.i/
