Albania, clean and safe tourist destination

TIRANA, May 11 /ATA/- The tourist activity will begin in compliance with the established measures, according to the protocols drafted by the health experts, guaranteeing the protection of the health of the citizens and vacationers from the spread of COVID-19.

Director of Tourism at the Ministry of Tourism and Environment Rovena Moçka made the statement during a TV interview. Among other things, she said that, this situation is not only for Albania, but for the whole world ”.

What is important, she underlined, is to restore the activity of the economic and tourism sectors by respecting the special protocols that are an obligation of health experts, given that the pandemic is not over and there is no way we can be protected except for the measures recommended by health experts, physical distance and hygiene.

Focusing on the government’s support for the tourism sector in the face of pandemic, Moçka said, “Unlike many other countries, tourism has been a key pillar of the economy, which has set a record income, so tourism has received a package of special assistance, considered as a package of war salaries and not of luxury, that is, assistance to cope with this difficult situation. To continue with what is called credit for the tourism sector. These are some mechanisms undertaken by the Albanian government for the tourism sector in this difficult time “.

She said that the wartime wages are for three months, taking into account that this sector resumes tourism activity.

Mocka said that, “Domestic tourism is one of the biggest potentials for the recovery of the sector, while it is a special group of experts that announces the liberalization of measures that will precede the opening of borders.”

“It is important to preserve the name of the tourist destination, as tourist places are marketing under this slogan, as clean and safe places from COVID-19. “While we will have a liberalization of further measures that will start on May 18 with the reactivation of bars and restaurants, but we must all be responsible for the implementation of safety measures,” she said. /a.a/p.s./
