TIRANA, May 7/ATA/- All citizens will be able to withdraw their identity cards and passports as well as apply for new biometric documents as of next week, the Albania’s Minister of Interior Sandër Lleshaj said.
The citizens will have to physically appear at all points of distribution and application after booking an appointment via the online address which will be soon public.
“After the suspension of applications for identity cards and passports for some time, in the light of the gradual relaxation of measures, work has begun on applications for both identity cards and passports,” Minister Lleshaj said.
Minister Lleshaj said that,”the application for ID cards and passports and passport renewal process have already started, an application which is carried out at the concessionaire’s offices and at the offices of the Police Commissariats.”
“I want to emphasize that in order to avoid queues and to reduce your chances of being infected or spreading COVID-19, it is intended that the application be made only after the schedule is set,”Minister Lleshaj said.//a.i/
