TIRANA, May 7/ATA/-Albania has recorded no death from COVID-19 in 9 days.
Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu gave the news during the meeting of the Technical Committee of Experts with the Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“No lives lost in 9 days. It makes me happy, because even one life lost for us is painful “, said Manastirliu.
Further on, the minister said that the medical teams will have two weeks of intensive work in the Laboratory of Microbiology at QSUT, where they will get the first results of serology testing.
Manastirliu stressed that, “The testing will continue in the risk groups, as we have already decided in terms of medical staff, as well as in terms of infected people identified according to the scheme and methodology that is being evaluated by the Technical Committee of Experts”.
Further on, the minister said that, “We want to continue with these indicators, but it is very important to raise public awareness, care and proper personal behavior, in these moments when we will continue with the reopening phases, as the Committee of Experts continues to advise us,” she said./gj.mima//a.a/p.s./
