TIRANA, May 6 /ATA/ – Co-chair of the Parliamentary Committee on the Electoral Reform, Damian Gjiknuri, welcomed Wednesday a public letter published by the opposition earlier today, calling for the Political Council of the representatives of the government and the opposition to convene as soon as possible in order to press ahead with the electoral reform.
“After being informed about your letter by the media, we praise the readiness you have expressed to resume the work at the Political Council on the electoral reform. Your most recent position is welcome as a serious reflection compared to the public statements you have made over the past few days,” Gjiknuri said.
The Socialist lawmaker expressed the majority’s readiness to go on with a comprehensive dialogue process in the framework of the Political Council.
