TIRANA, April 19 /ATA/-The Center for Studies and Publications for the Arbëreshi people began functioning.
This is the first institution dedicated to the study of the oldest Albanian Diaspora, that of the Arbëreshi community.
Despite the difficult emergency conditions, the work has continued without interruption for the full functioning of this scientific research center.
The establishment of the Center for Studies and Publications for Arbëreshi (QSPA) aims to study and protect this heritage, by coordinating stronger ties with this community to preserve from assimilation the language and culture of Arbëreshi people and to promote their main achievements.
This center has been established within the state structure for the Albanian Diaspora and will be under the leadership of prof. dr. Diana Kastrati. Researchers in the fields of history, linguistics, literature, anthropology, etc., will conduct scientific research and will be involved in organizing activities that will focus on the Arbëreshi community./gj.mima/j.p/r.e/p.s./
