TIRANA, April 12 /ATA/ – By A. Fortuzi/- Tirana mayor Erion Veliaj has published on Sunday a video showing deputy mayor Anisa Ruseti along with journalist, Blendi Salaj, shopping Easter groceries for the Catholic grandmothers.
The mayor Veliaj says that the municipality staff are in action to ease somehow the burden of lockdown on the elderly.
“All our staff in action to relieve the elderly of the lockdown burden as they are the ones who are facing the biggest restrictions,” – Veliaj says.
Thank you Blendi Salaj who together with the vice mayor Ruseti bought the Easter groceries for the Catholic grandmothers under the initiative “adopt a grandmother,” – Veliaj says.
“I am very pleased to join “Adopt a grandmother” initiative. We actually adopted three grandmothers today. We have just met a lady already and my heart is full of joy, because it is not only about the food deliveries, but also the emotions they feel to see us on the doorstep, ” – Salaj said.
