TIRANA, April 12 /ATA/ – Albania’s business confidence indicator in the construction sector increased by 4.8% in the first quarter of 2020, central bank said on Sunday.
The Bank of Albania said in a quarterly business and consumer confidence survey that the confidence indicator in the construction activity rose 4.8 percent.
According to central bank, the improved confidence in the construction sector showed also an improved indicator in the employment expectations and contributed to the upward trend of the economic sentiment indicator.
“The business confidence survey is in accordance with the methodology. The findings of the business and consumer confidence for the first quarter of 2020 include the period between March 1 to 10, before the COVID -19 pandemic affected Albania and the government to declare preventive measures against the virus spread. For this reason, confidence indicators do not reflect the negative impact of coronavirus on the economy,” central bank said.
