TIRANA, April 9 /ATA/- On Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported the death at the Tirana hospital of a 72-year-old woman infected with Covid-19. This brings the coronavirus-related death to in Albania to 23.
The elderly woman was in serious health condition and in intensive medical care and monitoring and reportedly suffered from chronic renal failure, hypertension and hypothyroidism.
As of April 9, Albania has reported 409 cases while 165 patients have recovered. The government has limited testing only to people over 65, the chronically ill, and those who have had contact with infected patients.//a.i/
