TIRANA, April 1 /ATA/ PM Edi Rama stated that bailout package will not be reviewed but will be expanded. As said from day one, this package targets the needy. As to the football clubs, they should claim nothing from the govt. or state coffer for a number of reasons.
In a televised interview, PM said that football clubs declare fictitious wages that are comparable with the pays in toll manufacturing when they pay high salaries, so the football clubs should see what other football clubs in other countries do and adjust to the wartime measures. With all due respect to THE clubs, club Presidents, coaches, football players, I don’t think it is time to help football, now is the time to ensure existence and football clubs should guarantee the existence rather than claim the missing dividends.
Regarding the media, staff and police forces that are on duty around the clock, Prime Minister Rama said that “I do not see any connection between the two. The police forces are doing their job, the medical personnel are doing their job and that is what their duty is all about in this wartime, while the frontline medical personnel will get paid an extra of 1,000 euros for doctors and nurses, 500 euros for cleaners and National Emergency drivers who are doing nothing short of heroism. ”
“As to the media, it is not the govt. duty to finance the commercial broadcasts, their duty is to sustain the vital minimum of media performance with regard to freedom of the press and right to information,” Rama said.
