TIRANA, March 27/ATA/- At the foreign currency exchange market, on Friday the Albanian Lek notably devalued against the foreign currencies.
According to the official exchange rate provided by the Bank of Albania, Euro is exchanged with 128.17 lekë, recording another strong increase during the current week with 2.77 lekë. This is the highest level in two years since April 2018.
The USD has also strengthened its position and got exchanged with 116.56 lekë, a daily increase of 1.79 lekë. The British Pound got exchanged with 142.33 lekë or 5.37 lekë more.
The local market reflects the movements in the international markets and the consequences of the COVID-19 into the offer and demand.
