TIRANA, March 24 /ATA/ Our country was swept by low temperatures in the last 24 hours with snow in the northern and southeastern Albania reaching up to 20 cm thick.
Albanian Road Authority informs that road axes are all passable, appealing to the drivers to exercise caution due to wet, slow down the speed and respect the road signs.
The northern region, ARA says, has been swept by snowfalls and the road maintenance crews have worked on the road axes Kuben Vasije, Qafë Bualli-Krastë, Qafe Mali-Fierzë, Koplik-Bogë-Dedaj-Razëm, Qafë Çelë-Pukë, Qafë Dush-Peshkopi, Tropoja and Kukës axes.
On all the above segments the circulation is running as normal. In Fushë Bulqizë snowfalls came with strong wind.
Use of snow chains is recommended for use on Cereneci Bridge-Stebleve and Trebisht –Customs segments with snow reaching up to 20 cm.
In the south, only the region of Korça has been hit by snowy weather and the crews are working to clean and throw salt to ensure normal circulation, according to ARA.
