TIRANA, March 14 /ATA/ The number of cases tested positive for coronavirus has gone up to 38. The figures were announced by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
In the last 24 hours, the Public Health Institute in conjunction with epidemiologists of regional healthcare units have been working on the field to identify the cases and track the contacts of those cases tested positive for COVID-19 so far.
Until now, 505 suspected cases have been tested, of whom 38 have turned out to be positive with COVID-19.
Out of the confirmed cases:
Tirana number 22 cases
Durrës 5 cases (of of them has passed away)
Lushnje 2 cases
Elbasan 2 cases
Fier 5 cases
Rrogozhinë 2 cases
Of them, 12 have been hospitalized in infectious disease hospital (from Tirana, Durrës, Fieri, Lushja and Rrogozhina)
Two of them have been put in intensive care unit, a 66 year old man from Lushnja and a 61 year old woman from Fier. The rest that have been hospitalized are in stable condition.
The Ministry of Health renews its appeal to the citizens to stay home. ‘I ask all citizens once again to respect the new rules and stay home. We need to limit the risk as much as possible. “ z.tosku
