TIRANA, February 20/ATA/- “A step for Durrës” fun run will take place on Sunday, February 23. This is an awareness activity following the November 26 earthquake.
The fun run is set to begin at 9:30 with the opening ceremony at the “Aleksandër Moisiu” Palace of Culture.
By 11. 30, there is scheduled the event to declare the winners. And later on, there will be a concert of live music.
“This is not a real competition. It is not important whether the participants walk or run, whether they will be the first or the last, but being together, that’s the important thing and a step forward for the city”, said Durrës City Hall.
The itinerary of the fun run goes through the city and covers a distance of 5 km. The event is also a promotion of the city.
Durrës is the most affected city by the tragic quake that struck Albania in the early hours of November 26./k.s/p.s./
