“It’s the moment of your oath, it’s definitely a moment of positive emotional charge. This moment represents the culmination of a long battle in both professional and mental training. I believe that your trial at the School of Magistrates, from the stage of admission to achievement of other successes required by law to become a prosecutor, is a mental test. It is an important moment for you, but it is also an important moment for us as members of the High Prosecutorial Council but also for the Albanian society. We all know that 2020 is critical for justice system. While 2019 was characterized by the processes we as councils have followed to come to our results and you are our results. The results of the Justice Reform are your mission. So 2020 should be the year of results and in that sense I think we’ve done our part and now it’s your turn to do your part. You will never be alone in your professional life. The High Prosecutorial Council will always be on your side. It will be our responsibility to make sure that you will live and work in an environment where meritocracy and professional values prevail.”
The EU ambassador in Tirana Luigi Soreca congratulated the new prosecutors adding that they represent the young generation and positive changes in justice.
