TIRANA, February 5/ATA/-Education Minister Besa Shahini reported today to the Parliamentary Commission on Education and Means of Public Information about the damages caused by the November 26 earthquake to the educational institutions and the measures the ministry undertook for management of the situation.
Shahini stated that the total number of the schools and universities as well as the dormitories damaged is 307.
“The greatest number of educational objects damaged is in Durrës, Tirana, Vora, Kurbin and Kruja, where there has been even the main area of general damages caused by the quake”, said she.
According to the scale of damage and the assessment realized by the Institute of Construction, there are 56 educational objects which have been seriously damaged./p.s./
