TIRANA, Jan 20 /ATA/- Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Eduart Shalsi, described the opening of competitive bidding for 140 MW solar park in Karavasta, an investment worth EUR 100 mln, as a very important day.
In his remarks at the ceremony organized on the occasion in Tirana, Shalsi drew the attention of participants to the serious situation of Albanian energy system back in 2013 and as minister said, – “ at that time even the most forward-looking mind could not foresee how far the ailing system on the brink of energetic collapse and with an almost bankrupt company would develop only to discuss years later the generation of renewable energy, let alone the photo voltaic panels,” he said.
Shalsi said that after these years, we made it to set the energy system back on track, to reform the legal framework and above all to build resilient institutions.
