A new central square in Fier downtown

TIRANA, December 27/ATA/- The area around the Gjanica River in Fier has been subject to an urban re-qualification project, which includes rehabilitation of the river, reconstruction of the existing bridge and a bicycle lane.

This intervention is being carried out in framework of the program “Priority Investment with High Impact on Tourism Development and Promotion”, funded by the Albanian government with the aim of improving the living conditions of the residents.

The central square is currently being paved with stone slabs, and work is underway on the eastern side (in front of the Catholic Church).

The work for creation of green areas is also underway along the road and in the gardens along the Gjanica River.

The Albanian Fund is rigorously implementing every element of the project to make this space available to citizens as soon as possible./a.gjonaj/p.s./
