TIRANA, Dec 24 /ATA/- Over January– November this year 3,740,463 tons of goods have been processed in the terminals of Durres port, which is 13% higher than the corresponding period 2018.
According to Statistics Sector at Durres Port Authority, nearly 2,9 mln tones of goods transported by merchant vessel have been handled, whereas the rest , 843 thousand tons from the line ferries Durrës – Bari, Durrës – Ancona and Durrës – Trieste and return have been handled.
Same sources say that the handled exports have increased by 2 percent, while imports have increased by 18 percent compared to first 11 months of 2018.
During January- November 2019, 552 merchant vessels have been handled in three terminals of the port./k.s/j.p/sm/
