TIRANA, Nov 29 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama visited tourist resort “Rafaelo” in the town of Lezha, northwest Albania, to inspect conditions of the families that lost their homes by the powerful earthquake that hit Albania on Nov 26.
During meeting with the earthquake-affected families, the government head sought to ease persistent fear of aftershocks. The citizens housed in Rafaelo resort and other hotels that have opened their doors in a sign of solidarity are now provided shelter, decent living conditions, food, clean and warm clothes.
PM Rama also said that every citizen affected by earthquake will benefit health care and medications for free.
The hotel owner said during the Premier’s visit that the affected citizens are being treated as if they were his own family members.
Rama added that work is also underway to make sure that every child from the quake-affected family is provided the opportunity to attend school and hire teachers to give them lessons at the places where they are accommodated.
