TIRANA, November 27/ATA/-“We must reconstruct the houses of the families affected by the earthquake while in Thumana we must guarantee the apartment blocks in which they lived are stronger and better”, said Prime Minister Edi Rama during the government meeting today.
“It is a great challenge and we must rely on the government and municipalities’ budget”, said the prime minister.
He added that he has been in contact with the European colleagues on the mechanism of foreign aid funding.
PM Rama said that, “We have agreed with President of Turkey to organize a meeting with countries of the eastern region. Meanwhile, the EU and the USA have also offered their readiness of support”.
“We should make the lists of the affected households and guarantee their transport to accommodation structures where we should constantly take care of them. It may take a long time while the main challenge remains the reconstruction programme”, said PM Rama./k.s/j.p/p.s./
