TIRANA, November 25/ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today, “The ‘Catch what you can’ is a criminal organization of judges and prosecutors who are associate servants or even tutors of organized crime. They are a cancer in the system that with the onset of the vetting and its first results has entered its more aggressive phase.
In his speech at the Presentation of the Special Anti- ‘Catch what you can’ Package, PM Rama emphasized that, “there are people who know very well that they have no chance of being qualified from the Vetting process and today they are appearing much more openly than yesterday when working at a slower pace and with the conviction that they had all their lives to live and no one would move them out of the country.”
“Today, they no longer have a career ahead, but there is still time left before they appear before the vetting Commission and they know there is no chance, so their motto is no fantasy, I’ve heard from them, ‘Catch what you can’.
The case of Durrës is rather flagrant and whether by circumstances or coincidence, together Prosecutor in the car there was even one of the organized crime exponents and in the trunk of the car the stolen Prosecution documents that for a long time were used against the justice reform at the expense of Donika Prela”, – emphasized PM Rama.
Therefore, the head of government raised the question, “What should we do under these circumstances, to wait for the vetting of these people who are extremely shameless and are not even afraid of hiding the tracks. What can we do when a criminal goes on to take Vlora’s mortgage and the police fail to act because the court, the prosecution office does not act? ”
The prime minister said that all these people must prove before the court that their home, car, business is the result of their work.
“This is not a criminal process, it is an administrative process and in the meantime we must set a very clear boundary to the ‘Catch what you can’. When one of its members violates the law no one acts. While it should be legally clear that the High Prosecutorial Council and the High Council of Judiciary should take measures for suspension and inspection regarding the respective member of this criminal organization,” added PM Rama.
Meanwhile, Rama said that, “until establishment and full functioning of the High Justice Inspectorate, if we do not do so then, every week there will be a show of rage in violation of the law”.
“In addition, if the inspection determines that a member of a criminal organization, judge or prosecutor has violated the law, the same process will be initiated, the anti-mafia process”, said PM Rama./k.s/j.p/p.s./
