TIRANA, November 14/ATA/- The government is considering the opportunity of launching an initiative for revaluation of the houses so that to bring them up to the market value next year, easing citizens from paying 15% tax when selling a property.
The Minister of Finances and Economy Anila Denaj stated today at the Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Finance that the government is considering the possibility of drafting another initiative for re-evaluation of houses and according to preliminary estimations this process may include about 30-40 thousand houses.
The minister said that the tax to be applied has not yet been announced, but that it is estimated that about 30-40 thousand assets will be included and that the effect in the budget will be ALL 4 billion.
This is the third time since 2009 that the government has been launching initiatives to facilitate citizens to re-evaluate assets. Most houses in Albania have a huge difference between the market value today and the amount that homeowners bought them many years ago./a.gjonaj/j.p/p.s./
