TIRANA, November 13 /ATA/- The Commander of Albanian Navy Artur Meçollari and a group of military authorities from the British Royal Navy and the French National Navy held today by noon a meeting with General Director of Durrës Port Authority Pirro Vengu.
Director Vengu briefed the participants on the current security situation and capabilities of the Port of Durrës highlighting the significance of further improving these standards at the country’s main port, which provides special facilities for the local Navy and allied forces.
Afterwards, the members of the delegation visited some of the quays, where they got acquainted with the operational capabilities of the port terminals.
The Port of Durrës and our Navy have launched a new phase of inter-action to improve readiness and fast service delivery also in cooperation with other national security institutions./a.a/r.e/p.s./
