TIRANA, Nov 4 /ATA/ – This October Albania has hosted a high number of foreign tourists as our country is preparing for all- year tourism due to abundance of sunny days.
Minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi, says that during October Albania was visited by 387, 152 foreign visitors, 14.7% more than October 2018.
Summer sees the highest number of foreign tourists and visitors who take interest in coastal, mountainous, lake, historic and cultural tourism of Albania.
Due to the long coastline Albania offers several beaches, from north to south, such as Velipoja of Shkodra, Shengjin of Lezha, Durres, Vlora, Himara and Saranda, etc. which are frequented by Albanians and foreign citizens who choose Albania as a tourist destination in summer.
Likewise, Gjirokastra, Berati, Butrinti, Kruja, Tirana, Shkodra, etc are much on demand for historic and cultural tourism.
