TIRANA, November 2/ATA/ – The heart surgery team at “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center (QSUT) has managed to perform very delicate heart interventions in young children.
Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu said the latest case of a successful heart surgery is that of Arbana, only 6 years old.
“Arbana, who was discovered by chance during a routine checkup about the big problem she had in her heart, immediately underwent a difficult intervention and today can return to normal life like all other children,” said Manastirliu.
The 6-year-old girl successfully finished a heart surgery and is now ready to return home.
But, she is not the only one who returns to normal life after such a problem. The QSUT cardiac surgery team has successfully performed heart interventions for 100 children.
Currently, about 90% of heart interventions in children are performed at the QSUT./a.sh/r.e/p.s./
