TIRANA, October 29/ATA/- The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta is holding an official to Croatia, at the invitation of the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
The visit of President Meta to Zagreb comes ahead of Croatia’s EU Presidency.
Croatia will take over the presidency of the European Union, namely the Council of the European Union, in the first half of 2020.
At the upcoming summit taking place in May 2020, in Zagreb, Council is expected to discuss Albania’s and North Macedonia’s request for opening EU accession negotiations.
During his state visit to Croatia, President Meta will also meet with Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and representatives of the Albanian community. //a.i/
